Dryve Selected for Sweden Battery Value Chain Special Edition Canadian Technology Accelerator

Program to connect Dryve with potential customers, partners, and investors across Sweden’s growing battery ecosystem.

Nova Scotia, Canada — September 10, 2026: Dryve Battery Materials Inc. (“Dryve” or the “Company”), a Canadian battery materials technology company commercializing a patented dry, precursor-free process for cathode active materials, today announced that it has been selected to participate in the Sweden Battery Value Chain Special Edition Canadian Technology Accelerator 2026-27 (“CTA”), delivered by the Government of Canada’s Trade Commissioner Service. 

The specialized program is designed to help Canadian battery and battery supply chain companies enter and develop opportunities in Sweden through market intelligence, expert mentorship, strategic networking, and direct engagement with potential customers and partners. The program includes virtual market preparation followed by an in-market program in Stockholm and the surrounding region in November 2026, including site visits, B2B meetings, and Battery Innovation Days 2026. 

Sweden is building a sustainable battery value chain as part of its broader clean energy and industrial strategy. The Canada-Sweden Strategic Partnership Agreement also identifies critical minerals, clean technologies, industrial cooperation, and innovation as priorities for bilateral collaboration. Participation in the Sweden Battery Value Chain CTA provides Dryve with an opportunity to expand its European industry relationships and accelerate commercial discussions as the Company moves from pilot-scale production toward broader customer qualification and deployment.

Dryve is commercializing a patented dry synthesis platform for producing nickel-based cathode active materials directly, eliminating precursor cathode active materials (pCAM) and wet chemical processing. The Company’s global patent portfolio includes granted patents in Japan, the United States, Europe, and China with recent allowances in Korea. Independent engineering has shown Dryve’s dry, pCAM-free approach has the potential to reduce capital and operating costs, manufacturing complexity, and environmental impact to enable more regional and resilient battery material supply chains. 

Dryve’s technology is operating at pilot scale today, with its integrated 100 tonne per year facility in Nova Scotia, Canada, producing cathode materials for customer evaluation. Dryve is actively sampling materials with cathode producers, battery manufacturers and automotive OEMs, and its materials have demonstrated performance competitive with commercially available cathode materials. The Company is advancing customer qualification, commercial partnerships, and technology licensing opportunities.

 

Sweden Battery Value Chain Special Edition Canadian Technology Accelerator 2026-27
The CTA helps Canadian companies with an existing technology or product in the sectors of digital and information communication technologies, cleantech and life sciences to explore business opportunities in key global tech hubs.
